John is extremely detailed oriented and knows how to avoid a crisis by taking actions before issues become critical. John understands the technology, people and auditing/governance requirements and how to build in checks and balances to the process. John motivates the teams to provide their best and manages with a very collaborative manner resulting in an optimal end product. His solutions provide flexibility to grow and address future new requirements without having to start at the beginning. He is the go to person to accomplish the objective on time, within budget with the ability to provide a flexible solution. In addition to John’s normal responsibilities, I assigned the cost center portion of a reference data management project that was failing. John quickly engaged with the project managing a different group of resources, designing solid processes, presenting solutions and a live walk through to senior management bringing it to a successful completion on time and within budget. There was a similar situation with a top of the house FP&A reporting application that was experiencing repeated outages at critical times causing extreme frustration with the business. John took ownership of this environment and set a path towards stabilization and standardization receiving several emails from the business thanking him and the team for their efforts John would be an asset to any organization.
