Supported testing of an Active Protection System APS system by developing range safety instrumentation software to provide fail-safe features to the Fire Control System and to allow the APS vehicle to be driven remotely during live missile firings. Incorporated remote video streaming capabilities in the software to assist testers in driving the vehicle remotely. Networked existing range instrumentation in support of the Unmanned System Imitative demonstration. Develop gateway software using DoD Test and Training Enabling Architecture TENA. Worked with missile project office to design a data acquisition system suitable for soldiers and operational testers by being small and form fitting to launch unit. Designed and developed the system from circuit board layout to box enclosure and wrote embedded software using C, C++ and VHDL code to collect and store data coming from the test connector bus of the launch unit. Developed mobile handheld software for replaying missile and imagery data stored on flash memory cards. Incorporated design upgrades to make the system compliant with block upgrades. Show less
