Responsible for managing all aspects of the general warehousing operations in the Derby site including administrative, leadership and hands on tasks. Some of my most remarkable contributions to the company:• Organisational tasks: prioritising orders to maximise output, organising and planning deliveries and collections schedules and liaising with shipping companies to ensure the goods reach our domestic and international customers on time, process improvement of the picking and packing to ensure optimum downstream efficiency, arranging security checks such as fire alarm test and advising on the scheduling of the maintenance, repair and replacement of equipment.• Administrative tasks: managing and tracking stock levels using computer databases, invoicing, input of sales orders and order processing, preparing packing lists, preparing relevant shipping documents and dangerous goods notes for road and air, closely liaising with clients, suppliers and distributors and ensuring excellent service is provided.• Hands on tasks: careful and detailed inspection of goods in and out, picking and packing, preparing boxes and labelling, loading and unloading of trucks, checking goods in, monitoring and arranging the storage safely and efficiently.• Leadership tasks: monitoring performance and ensuring targets are met and closely liaising with the sales team, problem solving and decision making, advising on recruitment needs, assessment, training and induction of new staff, planning work schedules and time and resource management, responsible for maintaining high motivation levels.Health and Safety tasks: ensuring all stock is stored safely, ensuring safe manual handling of all goods by all members of staff, ensuring relevant health and safety regulations are followed and complying to DGR and DGA regulations.
