  I began my legal career in Roanoke, Virginia in 1973 upon graduating from law school. As a Roanoke native, I currently practice Domestic Relations and Family Law and serves as a Chair of the Virginia Bar Association’s Domestic Relation Section Council. In addition to my domestic law practice I represent businesses, both public and private, as well as individual citizens. I'm a member of Litigation, Family and Business Law Sections of the Virginia State Bar and the Virginia Bar Association’s Domestic, Business and Litigation Sections. I'm also a member of the Family Law and State Section of the American Bar Association, the Roanoke Bar Association (President 1993-1994) and the South Carolina Bar Association. I attended the University of South, Sewanee, Tennessee and graduated from Hampden-Sydney College in 1967. I received my Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina in 1973 where I served on the Articles Staff of the South Carolina Law Review and as a Member of the School of Law Honor Council. I've been honored by Virginia Business magazine as one of its Legal Elite in the Family/Domestic Relations practice area. My wife, Julia McCallum Grove, and I have three children and two grandsons.
