Conduct Field Research with gopher tortoises, Gopherus polyphemus, in several sites across Florida. Field work consisted of trapping, measuring, marking, VHF radio tracking, and recapturing of adult tortoises and locating, excavating, weighting, and caging of tortoise eggs. Gopher Tortoise Crew, performed straight line transect surveys for gopher tortoises, Gopherus polyphemus, with a Trimble GPS and burrow scope to determine population size with a crew of three. Well over 1000 hours. Indigo Snake Crew, assisted in capturing, marking, and recapturing of eastern indigo snakes, Drymarchon couperi, on a crew of two. Around 150 hours Green Salamander Survey, conducted searches for green salamanders, Aneides aeneus, both alone and on a crew of two or three. Over 200 hours Also assisted in wetland survey for frog egg masses and frosted flatwood salamanders, culvert survey for bats, line transect plant surveys, geographic information systems mapping, and database quality assurance.
