In January of 2016 I had decided to leave Omega Concrete in order to pursue a different opportunity. In September of 2016, after being with Centric Projects for approximately 8 months, I was approached by the management of Omega Concrete Systems, Inc. with an offer to return to the company and my position as Operations Manager. Assignments include overseeing one to four projects simultaneously by working with the project management staff, job site superintendents, field staff and multiple subcontractors to provide overall management and direction for projects. While acting as the main owner contact for each project, daily functions could include; budget preparation, writing scopes of work for subcontracts, overseeing all project meetings, reviewing and approving subcontractor change order requests, reviewing owner change order requests, reviewing monthly pay apps, approving subcontractor invoices, preparing monthly projections, reviewing requests for information, overseeing the project schedules and reviewing closeout documents. Architectural Precast Concrete Manufacturing Oversee daily operations including estimating, engineering and production departments. Work with plant staff, office and field staff, along with general contractor’s owners, architects, engineers and Consultants. Oversee the purchase/rental of equipment, maintenance and repair of all equipment; act as an estimator, field change orders; work closely with the president, vice-president and the accounting department to manage financial aspects of all contracts; prepare monthly payment applications; and maintain company project schedules. Other duties and responsibilities include working to secure future work; assist with long range planning, personnel activities and staff assignments. Make use of latest technology to provide precise and professional estimates, drawings, project schedules, contracts, purchase orders and associated paperwork. Also act as Safety Director for both Omega Concrete Systems, Inc. and Lift, Inc. by maintaining and implementing the safety program for both companies. Show less
