I was running a flatbed metal laser cutting machine, this included picking of materials from the racking using a forklift, loading the material onto the bed at the rear of the machine. with the aid of overhead cranes. Loading the jobs cutting programs into the machine and creating a work list. unpacking of finished product and setting the pallet ready for dispatch. I was hired by Volvo to work on the assembly line in Wacol, on the production side for Mack trucks, i started off assembling the straps used to secure the tanks and also fitting the right hand side tanks and building the steps to be fitted either side. After a while i could complete my tasks in about 10 minutes of the hour tack time given so after I prepped for the next truck i would assist in fault finding and fixing any issues coming past my station.
