UMC utilises vertical farming and automated environment-controlled spaces to grow and sell gourmet mushrooms.       During July 2018 I participated in the WindAid Institute’s four-week Group Project which aimed to provide clean electricity to developing communities in Peru. I built electronic components, manufactured blades and lead the installation of new generation turbines. Alongside volunteering, I worked with the WindAid management team to develop and launch their ambassador scheme. This involved preparing a user-friendly google drive for the ambassadors, translating documents from Spanish to English and presenting it to the rest of the volunteers pitching the scheme. As a result, we were able to light up the houses of 2 new families as well as building the framework for many more volunteers to work on the project also. Show less
