John has a dynamic and calculated approach to management and always strives to achieve the desired results. Key to Johns skill set are his listening skills, he evaluates his workforce and managers views and formulates a structure approach to problem solving. John will always speak to always speak to all stakeholders to ensure a project in managed correctly and in a timely fashion, thus doing the project once and not having to waste more time re-working. John valued his senior engineers and empowered them, giving them ownership of their working areas and projects, this brought the best out of the individuals and it turn the best results for his work environment. He is very astute of utilising the continual improvement model, utilising the "top-down" and "bottom-up" at the most effective opportunities. A real pleasure to work with and proud to achieved the goals in Puma Depth Support Hub working along side this highly experienced engineer.

John is one of the rare managers who naturally serves as the person to look up to for the whole work force. With a high degree of common sense coupled many years’ worth of engineering experience, John's management of assets within the workplace is enviable and second to none. John exhibits a fine set of soft skills and a unique capacity to see clear solutions utilising common sense and patience often in the most challenging of situations. These qualities most notably translate in his ability to motivate a team to take ownership of a project’s outcome, driving success within strict or delicate time frames with limited assets and resources or when dealing with difficult external agencies. I owe John many thanks and take no hesitation in whole heartedly recommending not only his skill set but also John as a highly accomplished manager and good friend.
