My role at Coal Creek Coffee Company is to craft high quality coffee that appeals to a variety of consumers. I originally started as a barista where I attended company-directed trainings that taught employees about brewing methods, flavor profiles, and regional differences in coffee profiles. As a barista, I devoted myself to master specialty espresso beverages and refine my sensory skillset. I then became a coffee roaster where I learned the various roast profiles, how to make blends, and how to bring out the best notes in each batch. I further learned maintenance of the roasting machinery and how to properly clean each component to ensure all equipment functions as expected. Throughout my employment at Coal Creek Coffee Company, I have collaborated with the company owner and expanded my responsibilities to better suit the needs of the company. I applied my skills of graphic design to create more attractive labels for the bags. I utilized my knowledge of website design to create a more cohesive ordering experience for customers. I joined the social media team to apply my passion of photography to promote the company and its products. I now have all the skills required to expertly craft, brew, roast, and advertise coffee. I have a deep passion for good coffee, and it shows in all aspects of my work. Show less

My role at Regal was to establish myself as an effective assistant manager that the staff could rely on. This entailed the delegation of tasks to staff members to maintain an efficient and cohesive experience for the customer. I supported my staff by personally intervening to resolve complaints posed by upset customers, distributing daily tasks in a manner that best suited the skills of each staff member, and by acting as a mediary between staff and management to uphold company expectations while respecting the needs of my staff. Behind the scenes, I handled company finances, produced daily reports of sales and losses, collaborated with regional managers, and ensured all projectors and equipment were functioning as expected.
