Duties & Responsibilities:  Being one and only Structural Engineer and having 16 Designers/Draftsmen, I manage all the structural engineering jobs and solely handling all structural recommendations & calculations from preliminary up to fabrication stage as per project specifications.  Structural Recommendations/Analysis for Curtain Wall, Spider Glazing, Skylight, Canopy, Louvers, Mashrabiya, Railing, Balustrade, Sheds, Wall Claddings (Materials: Aluminum, Glass, ACP, Steel, Stainless Steel).  Responsible for reading and understanding the tender specification documents and drawings regarding structural calculation.  Prepare structural calculations to determine profile sizes and fixing details as per project technical specifications.  Provide technical information/checking and design proposals to develop a comprehensive system design and/or shop drawings.  Check and sign-off all structural calculations.  Check drawings against the provided structural calculation and ensure congruence, either by additional/modified verification or instruct adjustment of the drawing to meet the provided input.  Designing of steel connections both conventional & non-conventional.  Getting of Steel Quantity in kilo gram to be given to estimation department for their quotations.  Provide technical support/structural recommendation as per project specifications on estimation department on tender stage.  Coordinate with the project manager/engineer to assure that erected structure is as per our Structural Recommendations and Specifications to ensure the structural integrity of the structure.  Make remedy if problem occur in site and make recommendation as per site condition.  Coordinate with other designers including Architects to make the serviceable and economical designs without compromising the aesthetics concept of the structure.  Occasional site visit to check ongoing projects.
