After many years of tinkering with and breaking every information system I could get my hands on, my GaN leadership is letting me build and evaluate them instead! This change comes after a couple of years working cybersecurity and information and knowledge management tasks for various GaN customers like Redstone Test Command in Huntsville, and Operational Test Command at Ft. Hood Texas. (In the great Cybex tradition, I got the job after doing the job. :)) Now I get to assess systems and their relative merits and then recommend and implement changes to enhance usability and cybersecurity. This has given me some great opportunities to learn about the newest technologies available while indulging my Cybersecurity side by looking for new and innovative ways to break stuff. For me it's the next best thing to being a Mythbuster. Show less

My job at Synapse allowed me to work in a number of areas that I enjoy. I performed technical and marketing writing, as well as handling the layout and printing of those materials. I shot and edited photos and videos, including all product photography. After completing my Information Technology degree, I also served in the IT Champions group and handled some of the day-to-day IT challenges to help take pressure off the IT team. This included serving as one of the company's Confluence/JIRA administrators, as well as basic Exchange server administration. Show less
