Oversee teams conducting sensitive and methodical investigations of the most serious criminal investigations to assess violations of state statute. Responsible for leading incident response, investigative strategy, and prioritizing 250+ simultaneous investigations. Craft and execute complex investigation operations, create detailed plans, maps, photographs, criminal reports, and safety briefs; develop investigation and intelligence updates, secure evidence, and conduct criminal database research. Conduct ongoing due diligence on investigative, report generation, and policing operations, identify gaps, risks, process inefficiencies, and compliance infractions, and develop project documentation, integration plans, timelines, and training schedules. Manage talent review process for all team members, lead improvements to review strategy, launch ongoing programs to train and develop personnel, introduce new succession plans, and clarify growth opportunities and performance plans. Partner with leadership, prosecutors, and federal law enforcement personnel in case development and management operations, lead proactive communications and accountability, and present escalated issues. Manage relations with key outside vendors, including Forensic Artists, Transcription Services, and Digital Data Recovery Providers, lead background investigations to vet staff, establish contract terms and service agreements, guide service providers through requests and case operations, and ensure on time delivery of services. Manage $84,000 department operations and enhancement budget, develop and deliver budget proposal to leadership for approval, work with Finance personnel to track and verify all expenditures, and identify areas of cost savings; lead procurement of security-related trainings and exercises.
