My husband established Smart Inventory Services in 2012 and the Company expanded significantly. With the increased workload it was decided that I join Smart to manage the day to day running of the office. I am in constant contact with Letting Agents, Landlords, tenants and our Inventory Clerks. Inventories was not an area I had any working knowledge of, so I attended the AIIC training course for Check Outs to increase my awareness, as this is a very important part of our business to get right as we have a duty of care to the Landlord and Tenant to protect their property and deposit. I am actively promoting Smart Inventory through networking meetings.

I started working as a HR officer, interviewing and recruiting Security Officers. My role changed over the years and I was trained to obtain references, conduct disciplinary hearings & provide support for Operations Managers. In my last few years at CIS I was responsible for Right to Work in the UK with the support of the Home Office, this consisted of a yearly audit of all non UK passport and right to work visas. I also undertook the application of enhanced CRB checks. I started working as a HR officer, interviewing and recruiting Security Officers. Advising potential Jobseekers of Employment opportunities and matching skills to current positions available. Entering clients into retraining programmes to increase employment potential. I was chosen to promote and market a new scheme called New Deal it sought to provide support more tailored to an individual’s needs and typically involved the customer undertaking a four-week work experience placement. Thus ensuring the employer and employee were satisfied. Advising potential Jobseekers of Employment opportunities and matching skills to current positions available.
