  Bread2B is a research project concerning the valorisation of Bread loss and waste from Belgian small or industrial bakeries and retailers. Surplus Bread is valorised in beer and bakery products, using a circular economy approach. My role is a research-driven technological development of this project, making a resource from bread and eventually developing new products out of it. During this research, I do scientific tests on brewing technology, shelf-life tests, microbiological analyses, cereal and bakery technology in contact with industrial partners.   After some years as a lifeguard, I got promoted to be lifeguard chief because I passed an extra exam for which I was selected. Within this function I’m a head of five lifeguards. The swimmers safety is completely guaranteed and a complete rescue operation can be performed.
