I quantified inputs and exports of sediment, carbon and nitrogen i from paddy rice at the landscape level in a watershed in Northwest Vietnam. For this quantification, I developed sensor-based and statistical methods to continuously monitor transport of sediment, C and N in irrigation channels and natural streams, as well as bootstrap-based methods suitable for time series in order to assess uncertainty on the resulting annual sediment and nutrient loads.
