I graduated from Dallas Theological Seminary with degrees in Christian education and Biblical counseling. I believe that all people should be treated with dignity, grace, and mercy, and that everyone struggles with the basic building blocks of society: relationships. I work with individuals, married couples, families, employees, and small groups. Areas of specialization include premarital, marriage, divorce intervention, pornography and/or sex addiction, intimate partner violence, communication and conflict resolution, trauma, and grief/loss. Along with my husband, Alfred Horstman, I have developed and led seminars on pornography addiction and intimate partner violence. I counsel from a person-centered theory and am a certified Prepare-Enrich facilitator, a certified Marriage Strong facilitator, and have received Level One training in the Gottman method. Alfred and I occasionally partner together for couples counseling. I am an LPC Intern supervised by Dr. Christopher Taylor, Ph.D., LPC-S.
