      My largest of several projects in this lab primarily focuses on the use of a forward genetic screen in search of novel genetic mutations causative of scoliosis, ciliopathies, and other early developmental defects in Danio rerio (zebrafish). We are pinpointing these genes of interest utilizing a variety of genetic tools and techniques- including polymorphic mapping, genomic sequencing, and reverse genetics (genomic manipulation).
