I had the pleasure of working with Johan on Darktide and was consistently impressed with their sound design skills, creativity, and attention to detail. As Lead Sound Designer, Johan was responsible for not only creating an immersive and engaging soundscape that supported the game's aesthetic but working to lead a team of audio folk to elevate the player's experience and combine all those elements into an incredibly immersive one. He went above and beyond to ensure that the sound of the game absolutely slaps, his expertise and passion for the craft were evident in every aspect of his work. Johan's exceptional leadership, communication skills, and ability to inspire and mentor a team make them a valuable asset to any studio. Johan is one of those people who take up a lead role and quickly prove themselves. A person who I had the privilege to see take on that lead title, grow into and then beyond what I would expect from a person in that position. I have no doubt he is ready to take the next step in his career and can be trusted to deliver AAA sounding experiences at a director level.
