Assignment Description: I started my assignment as responsible for the development of a new type of floor saw machine to be used to put fiber cables under ground. The next task for me was to develop a remote controlled floor grinder, where I was involved from the concept phase all the way to production start-up. Later I was assigned as Lead Engineer for the development of a smaller version of the remote controlled grinder, and successfully brought that product into production as well. For the next 2 years I was the Lead Engineer for product improvement within the floor grinder and dust extractor area. The next new product development project that I was part of was to develop a completely new range of large floor grinders, improved in all areas to their predecessors. I was Lead Engineer for the smallest machine in the range, but was also responsible for several modules for the larger machines. During the last six months I have switched product groups, and I am currently developing concept designs for a new range of dust extractors. Tasks & Responsibilities: Lead Engineer for projects and product improvement, concept design. Related areas are ergonomics, grinding performance, maneuverability, electrical and operator safety e.g. Tools and Methodologies: Catia V5, Smarteam Show less
