He participated in the project "Desarrollo y caracterización de leche de soya a partir de granos de soya selenizada", in which he performed extractions, as well as humidity, water activity and pH meterages to both selenized soybeans, and the resulting soy milk and residues so as to examine shelf life. He took part in the project "Peroxidases for Plague Resistance", which seeks to advance efforts toward the genetic improvement of maize through the unraveling of new molecular biomarkers, in order to expedite the selection of plague-resistant grains in storage conditions. Here, he performed grain-insect interaction assays, besides identifying and analyzing phenolic compounds.
