Maintaining the Rosebank Transmission Station involves as technician the following tasks -Testing and acceptance of all new equipment as well as Cables - copper and Optic Fiber. Maintenance and fault finding, on the following equipment: S/HDSL Systems, PDH - higher order muxes, from 2 m/bit to 565 m/bit, SDH - systems (Siemens and Alcatel) consisting of 155 m/bit and 622 m/bit, ADDDrop muxes, 622 m/bit and 2,5 G/bit. SXA, SXC, SXD, ATM, DWDM, CWDM, NGN, Microwave, Vsat, and Line systems as well as cross connects and software configuration on ADD-Drop muxes, connecting of synchronization clock`s from GPS to SDH elements. PCM - systems. Consisting of PCM-muxes, PCM-ringer (For Private Wires) and LTA’s. Route maintenance and fault finding on PCM - copper cables and regenerating equipment. FPMX - systems for Broadcasting. In case of emergency breakdowns, the patching of systems on Fiber or by means of Coaxial cabling on DDF’s and test and patches. Planning, ordering and implementation of all new EM-OS (element management operating system) equipment.
