Having known Joey for many years, she has taught me the importance of going out of your comfort zone and finding ways to be a better version of yourself. It was Joey who encouraged me to make a change in my life. As a leader, she introduced me to a variety of self-developing opportunities such as volunteering long term, which I hadn’t done before, but she also taught me what it takes to be a successful person. Joey is the example of someone who goes above and beyond with everything she does. Despite having faced multiple adversities throughout the years, she led a district-wide organization, RSDCO, with passion and determination, while also being a top student and leader in every course she takes at school. Her success at RSDCO has rewarded her with numerous articles on the newspaper, and many regional awards. She is an empowering and hardworking individual who will always inspire those around her, and I am confident that she will be an asset to any organization in the future.

Working with Joey has been a great pleasure! She is a leader that is ambitious and resilient. I met Joey when I was advising the Richmond Student District Council during its initial stages of development and she has been through the thick and thin with RSDCO since, showing nothing less than passion and motivation in her position as a school representative. Her excitement for new knowledge and experience led her to become RSDCO's Student Chair in the following year. Despite the difficulties that come with establishing a newly introduced organization, with competence and perseverance, she helped to organize several student-led events such as the Transitions Conference, Elevate business competition, and Fresh Start workshop series. Joey's positive attitude and adaptability are definitely traits that make her a great fit for whatever position she plans to pursue in the future.

As an innovator, Joey has cultivated multiple well-deserved recognitions for her contribution to youth leadership and community engagement. From my time working with her in organizations and initiatives that promote student engagement and development, such as RichCity Idol and RSDCO, Joey has demonstrated an undeniable talent in effortlessly empowering those around her. I have watched Joey's progress with great admiration, having seen firsthand her leadership skills in bringing together people of different talents, and using their strengths to further a single united goal. Through her experiences in the community, Joey has inspired, encouraged, and empowered both young men and women in striving for greatness and continued development. Few youths have taken the liberty to spark a movement that advocates for the development of their fellow peers, and Joey is one of these individuals who has chosen to dedicate her efforts in doing so. She's beyond equipped to succeed in her goals, and her goals are indeed beyond inspiring.
