During this time as the Assistant Director, I helped with debates, resolutions, scripts, and ChairMUN (the website that was used). Working behind the scenes consisted of organizing transportation through Airlines and Charter Buses, arranging hotel rooms and hotel pairing, working on chair and co-chair scripts, ordering food for our delegates, facilitating ice-breakers and Trivia for our social event, creating concise PowerPoints, writing position papers for our volunteers, working on my speech to represent the Frank Church Institute, public speaking, categorizing and issuing awards, training chairs and co-chairs on how to work the website and moderate debate, and much more. Working with a group that only consisted of 3 people was tough, however we had all pulled through and it was a success. A total of 218 students, faculty, and volunteers had attended, all saying that it was a great event. This was the first Model UN program funded solely off sincere donations and because of our success, we have been renewed for another 5 years! This job has definitely solidified my skills of teamwork, quick decision-making, political etiquette, and learning exceptionally fast. Show less
