I had the great pleasure of being a client of Joe's and found him a joy to liaise with for ad changes. Witty, knowledgeable and highly convincing, Joe knows how to sell and maintains a professional relationship in all his dealings while injecting a light-hearted approach. It was a pleasure working with Joe and I hope to have the pleasure again.

    • Executive Controller, Controller Europe, Aircraft Cost Calculator, Charter Hub Europe
      • May 2013 - Oct 2021

We place aircraft buyers and sellers together on a global scale through the use of our internationally distributed magazines Executive Controller and Controller, paired with our website www.controller.com. On the Charter Hub side of operations, we connect charter leads with charter companies.I am responsible for travelling around Europe to meet with and search for new prospects in aid of our continuous expansion, as well as meet with existing advertisers to support them in getting the best results possible out of their advertising campaigns. In the background I manage accounts and support services for our customers, carry-out extensive research within the aviation sales and charter sectors and arrange my own travel for meetings with my European clients.

      • Jan 2017 - Sep 2017

      • Jun 2012 - May 2013

Throughout my first year with the company I was responsible for accelerating the marketing campaign with the MarketBook publications, focusing mainly on increasing distribution to various locations throughout Germany. Although my languages permitted me to work in a wide-range of different countries and continents, my main area of work involved Germany. Following an extremely productive year, I transitioned from marketing MarketBook to setting-up the sales and marketing for Executive Controller within Europe, Russia, Africa and The Middle East. I then launched Controller Europe and Charter Hub Europe some three years later.

Following 13 years on the Grob 109B Vigilant with 635 VGS at BAe Samlesbury and 645 VGS at RAF Topcliffe, I transferred to 632 VGS and converted onto the Grob 103 Viking, when the Vigilant was sent into early retirement in April 2018.

    • B1 Instructor on the Grob 109B Vigilant
      • Nov 2013 - Apr 2018

Starting my flying training at BAe Samlesbury in 2004, I've since committed one day per week to helping young pilots develop their flying skills within a military environment. Among other aircraft I fly, the majority of my flying experience is teaching cadets how to fly the Grob 109b Vigilant. I stopped flying the Vigilant in April 2018, when the type was retired from service.

Following my studies at the Universite Blaise Pascal in Clermont Ferrand, I decided I would spend the summer living in Nice before returning to university in England. In this position I used my languages to offer tourism services such as bike-taxying and tourist guides of the city. I found this position very interesting as it gave me an insight into different aspects of tourism. My internship with Volkswagen involved me being immersed in the translation department in the Fremdsprachenmanagement/VW Aftersales section of Volkswagen in Wolfsburg, Germany. Throughout my time with Volkswagen I learnt how to use translation software such as Trados and also learned how to translate technical automotive texts from German to English. This position also taught me important lessons in accountability. When I left Chiquito in 2010, I had gained experience as a serving assistant, waiter, bar tender and also some kitchen experience.
