I worked with Joel for several years during the Slyce days selling into fortune 500 ecommerce companies as well as bricks & mortar retialers. He is an amazingly unique communicator, is strong on follow-through and has a good sense of practicality. He also has a very unique skill set coming from his background in BD, fundraising and PR in both software and mining/oil & gas etc. These things together made it great to work with Joel as a teammate, and no doubt we had a lot of success because of it.
