When I worked as a barback I washed, polished, and restocked all glasses for upstairs and downstairs bar. In my downtime I also restocked bar stations of garnishes, syrups, and wide array of alcohol. Furthermore, I was in charge of making the syrups, changing kegs, and replacing bar tools as needed. I opened and closed both bars along with the extensive cleaning procedures. Lastly, once I achieved a leadership role for my efforts, I trained all incoming barbacks to keep standards of cleanliness and efficiency intact Before barbacking, I worked as a busser/expo for the restaurant. For this position I opened and closed the dining area, expo line, and employee spaces, making sure they were clean. This position also required me to assist wait staff by running the expo line, running food to the guests and inspecting the finished dishes before leaving the kitchen. Most interestingly I also assisted with events at the restaurant including set up, clean up, and party service I first started at the restaurant as a host. As a host I represented the restaurant at the front desk, with excellent customer service and good communication skills. My daily duties were guiding guests to their reservations on the ground floor or to our Rooftap bar. I also assisted with big parties such as weddings and convention dinners, and prepared the nightly dinner service. Lastly I organized restaurant layout to accommodate the floor plan made every night.
