- Oversees the College Advisement Department at WCHS - Provides individual academic and college advisement to 200 students (9th-12th grade) - Pioneered the implementation of Naviance to guide students toward college and career readiness - Motivational speaker and co-pioneer for implementing Life Calling, a junior year college curriculum based course to allow students to discover their unique gifts and strengths helping identify future majors- Organizes professional development for advisement staff including out-of-state conferences- Trains incoming advisors to excel at WCHS- Provides and reviews transcripts, graduation status reports, and UC and state eligibility reports- Provides students information regarding ACT, SAT Reasoning and Subject tests - Develops and reviews four-year plan for students' high school courses - Oversees and organizes college fairs, career seminars, and parent and student information nights- Works alongside parents and students during crisis situations- Liaison between faculty and students / families- Oversees testing and course selection for incoming 9th graders- Creates strategic planning for College Advisement Department - Handles Public Relations for College Advisement Department- Designs promotional material to market department information and events- Works alongside Administration to update department outcomes and achievements Show less
