Joel joined Brown Industries initially as a consultant in November 2020 on the recommendation of our chief operating officer. At the time, we were in the fortunate position of having dramatically increased sales, but this had caused significant capacity issues in our manufacturing and distribution operations. Joel was able to triage our problems and make an immediate impact. For example, our shipping department was floundering. In literally 2-3 days, Joel was able to unclog our dock operations to allow us to start shipping again. Joel developed a plan for longer term change which dovetailed perfectly with our vision for the company. After 3 months in a consulting role, he joined us fulltime in February 2021 as VP of Process Excellence and began executing his strategy. We found him to be a master teacher. His experience in manufacturing and his Lean pedagogy combined to give us measurable, practical results. Joel was respected and extremely well-liked by associates on our manufacturing floor. He was universally viewed as a mentor. I would enjoy the opportunity of working with Joel again in the future.

He is highly competent and knowledgeable in his field of logistics and lean, leading teams to move forward continuous improvement initiatives company-wide. In addition to his technical skillsets, Joel is very personable and able to work with every level of associate within the organization from entry level warehouse staff to senior executive management.
