Supports the RPA training syllabus. Assists the Government in conducting operations supporting RPA training to include: acting as ISR targets, conducting Battlefield Air Operations training, and directing Multi-Spectral Targeting System (MTS) Electro-Optical/Infrared sensors onto targets during aircrew training. Simulate OPFOR, BLUFOR, isolated personnel, and JTAC to prosecute with MTS sensors. Provide expertise in C2ISR, Battlefield Air Operations equipment and software, special operations, Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures, infiltration and exfiltration, and sister service capabilities and limitations. Combat-experienced SMEs drive improvements for all phases of C2ISR and Surface Attack training and development. Possess knowledge of all tasks to work in conjunction with airborne ISR platforms, providing training scenarios supporting USAF Formal Training Units. Performs as a JTACs in RPA simulators, utilizing voice communications with student crews simulating ground personnel when conditions do not permit on range support, and for DV visits, media days, etc. JTAC SMEs play the roles of OPFOR, JTACs, BLUFOR and isolated personnel for CSAR. Perform scenario-driven role-play of BLUFOR and OPFOR when manned/unmanned aircraft training is being conducted. Support development of joint manned and unmanned ISR employment and training standards, products, analysis, and information. Provide input of end-user requirements for the ISR, Close Air Support, Surface Attack, and CSAR mission sets to the Major Command responsible for dictating the training standards. Provide downed airman support for manned/unmanned Combat Search and Rescue training, convoy ops and ground force activities IAW the Formal Training Unit syllabi. Provide Phase Training on proper use and practical application of remote Video Down Link devices, ground communications, and support equipment during training.
