      I worked with the Team Leader of Records & Customer Service to ensure the consistent and efficient management of the Shire’s records. Key Responsibilities• Ensuring that documents were recorded and filed appropriately.• Liaising with all sections of the organisation to determine how the records system could be most effectively used.• Assisting in the location of documents for freedom of information requests or other projects.• After less than a year in the role I was also made responsible for administering the Shire Geographical Information System, IntraMaps.Key Achievements• For approximately 7 months I worked independently as the only member of the team despite having only six month experience.• Compiled the Shire’s Recordkeeping Plan 2012 which had been deferred by the team prior to my starting.• Developed a macro enabled Excel spreadsheet to automate the generation and formatting of the monthly report on records to be actioned required by the Executive Management Team. This made it significantly easier for management to track how well the organisation was fulfilling its legal records obligations with the ability to drill down to greater detail compared to the previous report. Implemented in 2012, the report was still in use in 2019.• Created a number of layer in IntraMaps mapping data held in the Shire’s database system SynergySoft.
