I, together with the team, was able to produce a Disaster Contingency Plan for the Barangay Looc in Cabucgayan, Biliran. I have also undergone the Training on Community-based Contingency Planning Formulation Workshop: Mainstreaming DRR into the Local Development Process in Biliran Province — a joint project Provincial Government of Biliran, (MSB) Swedish Contingency Agency, United Nations Development Program (UNDP), Office of the Civil Defense Region 8, Department of the Interior and Local Government, and People's Disaster Risk Reduction Network, Inc. (PDRRN). This experience exposed me the value of helping local communities in becoming resilient and prepared for disasters, especially caused by Tropical Storms where our localities are most vulnerable. I was one of the official delegates on the 10th National Parliament—Parliament of Youth Leaders held on May 2014 at the Grand Opera Hotel, Manila. After the training, regional organizations among the parliamentarians were created to work on the various projects of the National Youth Commission. I was then the Provincial Convenor for the Province of Biliran from 2014-2015.
