As you'd expect from a gifted architect, Joe thinks in multiple dimensions. Not just in physical terms but in emotional ones. He connects his design intent to the emotion it will spark. Therefore, he doesn't take the path of least resistance. He's too responsible and inspired by the possibilities for that to be the case. I gather that Joe is driven because of how architecture can facilitate lifestyles and accomplishments. He's a selfless, good-natured human being that puts all stakeholders at ease.
