While we have not worked closely together, I've had the pleasure of meeting Joe over 10 years ago at IPTC and since then reconnecting at several industry events and conferences over the years. He has broad industry experience and a deep knowledge of geology & geophysics with experience in a broad range of basin settings around the world.

I worked with Joe for many years while he was in Apache's office in Cairo as Exploration Manager overseeing the exploration and development of assets in the Western Desert. As Director of Geophysics for the company, I found that Joe was always ready to listen to the science and push the envelope of technology in seismic acquisition and processing. His efforts led to some spectacular success for the company. He was able to deal with the bureaucracy of corporate management and the national government in Egypt in a way that allowed development beyond what was expected, using science that was new to the region.
