Analyze engineering requirements related to fit, form, function and quality measurement. Make recommendations for improvements to ensure efficient engineering, manufacturing, assembly and quality approval. Determine an efficient method of manufacturing to meet all engineering requirements by developing/writing detailed routing for machining, assembly, welding, painting, NDT, and other processes such as anodize or heat treat. Create a bill of materials including hardware items for assembly, material types/sizes used for machining and tooling/fixturing. Create shop aid drawings and other process documentation to be used for specific manufacturing steps, including tooling or other various requirements. Communicate with engineering, programming, customer support and shop floor production to ensure production throughput. Analyze, provide and maintain accurate machine and labor times.
