Vector Innovation Fund (VIF) is a Reserved Alternative Investment Fund (RAIF) specialising in support for technology companies able to transform and protect global markets, notably in global healthcare, enabling technology, sustainability, and longevity. VIF’s first sub-fund focuses on ‘Pandemic Protection’, and preparedness for future healthcare. This fund structure is domiciled in the world-renowned Luxembourg jurisdiction, and is only open to international accredited and professional investors, such as family offices, UHNW, private placement investors, pension funds, international banks, ESG investors and sovereign wealth funds. The fund is a flexible, multi-purpose fund, semi-regulated under the Alternative Investment Fund Manager Directive (AIFMD). VIF offers all the benefits of the regulatory and tax systems that Luxembourg allows for international investors. The Pandemic Protection sub-fund objective is to target commitments totalling $300m, due to a strong deal flow, with an expected first close of $120m and a final close expected within 19 months. The General Partners have an excellent track record in industry, healthcare, technology and investment, with 21 exits and a total value creation of $2.4billion, including two successful IPOs. The pandemic has driven a revolution in healthcare over the next five to ten years. Healthcare investment is forecast to grow at a rate of nearly 50% a year towards a market set to be worth $1.333 trillion by 2027*. The acceleration highlights wide recognition that the world cannot afford the human and economic cost of another pandemic and is creating a more point-of-care based innovation driven model which will transform healthcare over the next decade. Industry and commerce will also be adopting new technologies, so that the world is better prepared to deal with the impact of any future global healthcare crisis.
