I had the pleasure to work both directly and indirectly with Joe on numerous events across the world as a contractor. Outside of this contract I work as a team lead for a biopharmaceutical company. Joe was one of only a handful of trusted employees for CFB events that helped bring together literally hundreds of other contractors to allow for a successful event on multiple occasions each time every time. He is a person I have grown to look forward to working with. He is an excellent team player and leader. It goes without saying that he gives any task his all and his work ethic is not only admirable but helps inspires those around him. Joe is a kind individual; his coaching and mentoring are without parallel. He would constantly bring together new teams in various locations to bring about his deliverables. In summary Joe is someone I would highly recommend for any role, and any employer would be lucky to have him.

I had the opportunity to work alongside Joe for several years. He is one of the most hard working, thoughtful and caring people I know. He is someone you can always count on to come in early and stay late to finish whatever task is most pressing. His drive to get to the bottom of tough issues coupled with his sharp critical thinking skills make him an extremely effective problem solver, but his most impressionable trait is his captivating personality. He is someone who who quickly and naturally becomes a leader when the opportunity presents itself and without pressure, he assumes command. His ability to think beyond the present while planning to accomplish a goal makes his leadership extremely effective. Any employer would be lucky to have Joe.

I am the set-up and strike team leader, as well as the special operations lead for CFBE in North America (and occasionally overseas.) I am also a staffing assistant. Setup/Strike lead: I was responsible for the Install/Dismantle of our events. I supervised a crew of contractors, and coordinated tasks throughout the day. I received shipments and coordinated deliveries of show supplies with our warehouse manager. I created a task list, and delegated tasks as needed. I was responsible for knowing the exact placement of all show related items, as well as keeping track of all show related items throughout the weekend. At the end of the event I was responsible for dismantling the entire show, and coordinating the packing of our trucks, as well as tracking the shipments on the way home. Customer Service Lead: I was responsible for leading our "Prize Wall" and Customer Service area at our events. I would maintain a staff schedule, and delegate tasks to a small group of contractors and employees throughout the weekend as it pertains to our customer service area. I was responsible for maintaining an attractive "retail area" as well as helping customers with any service needs they may have had. I was responsible for coordinating a pick up zone for special purchases, as well as directing and managing people in our queues. I specialize in team-building and mentoring. I work closely as a liaison between the tournament organizer and venue personnel, artists, cosplayers, and vendors. I also participate in event logistics. Show less

Home and small business installations and repairs. I also deal with company wide databases and workflow software. I am an Installation Technician Trainer. Installation Trainer: My supervisors gave me the opportunity to be a trainer with new technicians. I was responsible for teaching trainees fundamental skills, and best practices for our department. I would put them through a proven training regiment, and I would provide weekly status updates to my supervisors via email. After completing the training cycle, I would write a recommendation for my trainees, and they would be given the autonomy to be on their own. Installer: I would work with copper based telecom. I was responsible for the installation and repair of our internet service to homes and small businesses. This was including but not limited to: CAT-5 cabling, conduits, aerial drops, and liaising with building managers to gain access to MPOE's (entry points). I would also work with Fiber Optics based telecom. This entails finesse work with glass and rubber based cables, and the use of state-of-the-art telecom equipment. Lastly, I was also responsible for business grade internet services, both copper and fiber based. This required the ability to work in high pressure situations and to provide high touch services to our VIP customers. This also required mastery of advanced telecom machinery, and networking hardware. Show less

I was a backline technician for Studio Instrument Rentals in San Francisco and Los Angeles. I specialized as a drum tech, and I did hundreds of "one off" shows with various bands at different venues all around the state of California. Duties: Inventory, Maintenance, and Quality Control of musical equipment. Delivery, Installation and dismantle of requested rental equipment. I would then stay on-site and provide the venue with help in regards to the functionality of the rental equipment. I would also serve as a stage technician, helping the band and crew troubleshoot any difficulties they encountered. Show less
