STRATEGIC INNOVATIVE THINKER One of six officers, handpicked from a pool of 500, to be a member of an innovative naval warfare concept team. Tasked by the Chief of Naval Operations to generated bold concepts on how the Navy will operate in the future information and computer environment of 2020. The key innovator in the Hardware, Architecture and Logic concept team. This concept team envisioned novel ideas regarding maritime computer cloudlets, predictive computing and advanced IT architectures for afloat forces. I authored several far-reaching concepts; one such concept was called “Cloudlets and Lasers”. This concept describes the use of the electromagnetic spectrum to provide line of sight communication to airborne computer servers located on airborne resources. This unique architecture, which is possible with today’s technology, would allow units to communicate and fight within an anti-access, area denial (A2AD) environment. COLABORATOR Established relationships with nationally recognized experts across academia and industry to support research and concept development. Show less
