After completion of a 4 year Instrument and Electrical apprenticeship, in 2 years I became a top level Step 5 maintenance mechanic. My job duties included installation and troubleshooting of instruments related to flow, pH, turbidity, vibration, level, pressure, distance, temperature, consistency, weight, total alkalinity, burner management, vapor detection, and O2 to name a few. I had to troubleshoot, repair, and modify PLC, Bailey, and PID controls. My Electrical job duties included installation and troubleshooting AC, DC, and synchronous motors, controls, starters, and drives up to 13.8kv, lighting, proximity switches, mechanical switches, speed switches, pneumatic switches, vibration switches, backup battery UPS systems, chiller purging and operation. I was the steering committee representative for E+I for over 6 years and attended many behavior based safety training seminars. Show less

    • General Manager of the chain of stores

I was the GM of the Stox Electronics chain. We sold/installed car and home audio/video and electronics. I changed all brand names to better merchandise during my reign. That lowered our return rate and rose profits. I hired managers that were great in their field and taught them the electronics aspect. I approved all finance contracts and made collections policies to pursue non payments without badgering debtors and as a result lowered charge offs which increased profits. I approached manufacturers and negotiated lower purchase costs and reduced shipping to locations by buying in bulk. We got a huge profit increase immediately. The Total Injury Rate went to 0 during my reign by implementation of my rules for the installation of car audio and electronics. I completely eradicated employee theft by implementing a paper as well as computer inventory. When I left, we were about to open a new store in Waco TX. Show less
