Consultant and remodel of this diner in the Gateway Hotel in Santa Monica. Directed all kitchen and food service development and operations. The Cannery Restaurant, Newport Beach, California. Bar Pintxo is one of the few true-to-Spain Tapas Bars in Southern California. I visited that great country on a number of food related and wine touring trips, seeing the unique, creative, culture oriented cuisine that was yet to be found here in the Americas. I opened Bar Pintxo in 2007 in a little 900 square foot space, grossing 1 M annually for 10 years. Bar Pintxo is one of the few true-to-Spain Tapas Bars in Southern California.
