I'm not new to the CPG business, but in back in July - Aug 2020, I was a relative newcomer to the Canadian CPG world and not fully conversant with the language of the business - specifically when it came to AC Nielsen and category ways of working. Googling had helped, but it wasn't very satisfying and I realized that this was limiting my understanding my customers' challenges which meant I wasn't able to serve them as best as I'd hoped to. That's when I came across Data Gives Back and Joe on Linkedin. We got to "Yes" after a quick no obligation introductory call - helped in no small measure by Joe's commitment of donating 25% of proceeds to a social cause (the Seasons Centre for Grieving Children). Working with him was a breeze. Joe put together a bespoke coaching program across different work streams that leveraged my prior experience and plugged knowledge gaps, which helped me get closer to my goals. I whole heartedly recommend Joe and the work he's doing with Data Gives Back - more power to him !

Joe is a phenomenal human being, coach and mentor. I wrote to him as I was struggling to grow my network within CPG professionals at a time when he was preparing to launch Data Gives Back. His transparency and willingness to share blew me away as I learned about his motivations to not only help professionals like me to enhance skill sets, but always with a balanced view of giving back to society though his support of the Center for Grieving Children. Apart from numerous chats about the CPG industry and life in Canada, I also participated in his Category Management Bootcamp - I highly recommend chatting with him to figure out which course truly fits your need. The course was well-paced, packed with content curated with extreme care and provided detailed insights into both the retailers' & manufacturer's worlds. It also affords real opportunities to network live with peers. Joe is an extremely humble individual who is always willing and open to chat with you at your level. His vast network and detailed knowledge of CPG machinery are incredible assets for anyone looking to turbocharge their current career or start a new one. If you feel lost about how to start a conversation, you can always catch him at his next DJ gig!
