Currently I oversee that Production Goals for Barnes4WD are met throughout the year. I work daily with a AMADA Laser and Press Break. Making sure design intention is met in a quick and efficient manner. Troubleshooting when need be, very rare for such good equipment. I'm responsible for upwards of 10 -12 of my coworkers. Responsible for bringing in new employees, and setting there schedule. Terminating and Retention of employees. Carolina Metal Craft is a Business that is ran out of the same building as Barnes4wd. Myself and Owner Brad Barnes are the only points of contact for this business. The intention here is to fill any laser or press break compacity with anything customers might need. I'm responsible for helpings customers get there designs from paper into Solidworks (3d cad design tool). From there I will take it into our production design software. Where I then am responsible to determine if we have the correct Cutting Conditions on the Laser (i.e. Correct nozzle diameter, correct gas mixture, correct material) Correct tooling on Press Break (i.e. V-width die, Correct Punch, Insure that our Press Break can make this without a collision) Once the parts are proven out I will begin the quoting process for a potential customer. I quote based on flat pattern length and width, cycle time to cut (I do my best to make sure we can get the cycle time as low as possible so we can have the lowest possible end charge for the customer) how many bends, welding, quantity of parts needed, and material cost. Once a customer accepts a quote I work to get the part through production as quickly as possible. Show less
