  When I was 16 I worked in a service station, in the Starbucks cafe there. Then when I was 18 I worked for the University of Birmingham for a year as a barista. This job has helped me get lots of part time work both for when I was at university and during summer holidays. Starbucks training has helped me achieve a high level of customer service, improved my sales record and helped me to understand the way that the everyday consumer operates. It has shifted my priorities when working in a team. For example now I am much more concious about what the team is achieving as a whole, rather than just my individual efforts. Show less
