At Cellcom, I worked to assure consistent operations of the cell sites in our network. I was assigned 42 cell sites in the Green Bay area. Monitored sites with a remote connection into their Unix based server. Allowing me to identify issues and control the radios. Performed preventative maintenance on the sites I was responsible for. Tasks included visual inspection, housekeeping, and gather readings for optimal performance. Participated in an on-call schedule to respond to any cell site in my region. Assembled cell site hardware after the tower’s infrastructure was assembled. Installing the radios, duplexers and batteries and tested. Worked on a special project to develop a SNMP trap monitoring station using surplus laptops retrofitted with CentOS linux. Created an internet database to map out all of our cell sites. Show less
