  Welcome to my profile summary: I have over 30 years’ experience in property working in both the public and private sectors. I worked in the public sector for 17 years within an Estates Department as a chartered surveyor. I was responsible for a broad portfolio which covered a wide range of disciplines including: Transport Hubs, Offices, Multi-storey Car Parks, Retail Parks, Retail warehousing and Leisure Schemes. I left this role in the public sector in 2006 to take up the position of Asset / Development Manager with a prominent local development company. In this position not only was I responsible for the management of the Estates Team, I also had responsibility for the asset management and development of the company’s UK and European portfolio, not only working with local design teams this also entailed dealing with foreign nationals and working through interpreters. The Managing Director and I also assembled a site measuring circa. 2000 hectares, which necessitated land deals with four Principalities, to construct an airport and logistics centre. Since 2013 I have been Managing Director of Almus Property Partners, which covers a number of disciplines including: Asset management, Development Appraisals, Construction/Project Management and Property Management in the United Kingdom and Ireland. I am considered an expert in asset management, appraisals, adding value, construction cost management, and estate management. The value of schemes that I have been responsible for range from £250,000 to £28m. I have always completed project within budget and program. I am very active within the business community, I was the President of The Belfast Chamber of Trade and Commerce for a two year term in office.
