  Tasked with a dewatering target to get the ex-mine flowrate to 450 l/s of 80 degree Celsius (176 degree Fahrenheit) water. Design and manage construction of underground dewatering project to safely de-water below production levels to extend mine life. This includes consolidating and improving current capital pump station infrastructure to maximize ex-mine water and to add contingency to avoid flood events. Design of deep bore installations and reticulation pathways through return air ways to better manage heat transfer and workforce exposure to hot water. Simplify and automate system to better manage power outages and pump failures. Redesign lower decline to manage hot water flows and mining fronts with active dewatering cuddies and satelite pumping systems.

   Responsible for the underground contractor. Initially a single heading decline. Aiming for a target of 1400m per month of development on multiple headings. Assist with Planning and scheduling of four jumbos mining decline and level development, underground fan chambers and pump station chambers. Working with the infrastructure team to construct two x 2MegaWatt fan installations underground. Working with Electrical department to ensure reticulation is adequate and on time. Design, build and managed pump system to combat unrecognized water source that proved invaluable to operation. Put systems in place to deal with high water inflows from aquifers, open pit and exploration diamond drill holes. Procure high pressure Atlas Copco grout pumps. Organize training, procedures, risk assess and manage crews for this task. Procure and instigate Poly -urethane injection to stop water inflows. Organize training of crews, risk assess and manage. Procure Jumbo for curtain grouting. Design and build water stoping device. Design curtain grouting drill pattern and method to stop water inflows. Liaise with large Open Cut working above the Underground mine to ensure interactions were safe and productive. Managed all Raiseboring activities with three separate Raiseboring contractors.  Managed all ancillary construction requirements for a new mine. Ventilation bulkheads and Doors, Pump stations, elevated loading facilities for trucks, stop blocks for ore passes, raise bore pads, permanent poly duct installation for ventilation of levels, underground emulsion storage bays, crib room, refueling bay, rising main installation in rises, Managed and planned ventilation fan requirements for each level as mining progressed Have a good working relationship with all departments
