I worked closely with Joe for about five years at Rotary International. We worked together on the launch of a new grant model for the foundation and the development of a centralized team focusing on strategy and enterprise-wide projects. Joe is a collaborative and strong leader. He successfully took on several large-scale projects, working effectively with a multitude of stakeholders, including board members, major donors, partners and staff. In his role managing the transformation of Rotary’s grant model, Joe led and advised teams on programmatic strategies, fundraising, communications, and technology. As Chief Strategy Officer, he brought structure, innovation and data-driven decision making to the strategic functions of the organization. He was always passionate about Rotary’s mission, especially supporting communities around the world. Joe is well-versed in board governance, advocacy, and change management. He has been a mentor to me and is wonderful to work with, always willing to take on new challenges and be supportive of others.

I was really excited to get the opportunity to work with Joe and as my time with him went on, I was not disappointed. He was always determined to present the most accurate, cutting-edge information and strategies to Rotary leadership. He has a real dedication to delivering quality work and getting it right every time. As a leader he was easy to work for, open to listening to and trying new approaches, and was always eager to elevate those that put in the work. Joe made it point to stay current on trends and research around strategic planning and transformational change. He was always ready to teach me and recommend trainings. I really enjoyed working with Joe. He is a great leader and genuinely fun to for.
