Joe brings an amazing combination of talents to any project. Not only does he produce technically amazing work, he also brings a level of creativity that is rare to discover. Joe is not creative merely for the sake of proving his creativity, his creativity is focused on achieving his client's goals.

Michael Zadoorian

Joe is fluent in many creative languages, whether it’s advertising, art or fiction-writing. He’s a great guy -- driven, hard-working, knowledgeable and someone well worth knowing.

That was an awful place to work, truth be told, but I was working three jobs to pay off my school loans so I was happy for the money. I worked the lobster shift (10 pm-6 am) and basically took sheets of set copy and glued them to rice paper. Most of it was mindless work, running legal copy that we slapped on to be xeroxed and handed out to clients. Every now and then I was asked to do some caricatures of the big shots at Chrysler and Fiat (when Chrysler was trying to buy them), and that paid extra. The job left me wanting more but armed me with some great stories of colorful characters.

I was fortunate enough to work under the legendary Jerry Campbell. There I learned how to work the typositor and the stat camera, two pieces of equipment long gone from the lexicon of today's commercial art biz. The best part was watching Jerry perform magic with an ink pen. He was truly gifted, effortlessly creating lettergraphics that were unparalleled, and doing it with his signature good humor. It was one of the greatest parts of my on-the-job education. I was fortunate enough to work under the legendary Jerry Campbell.
