  I have joined the Institute of Place Management as a Junior Fellow where I'll be working alongside IPM Co-Chairs Simon Quin and Professor Cathy Parker on the High Streets Task Force (HSTF), helping drive forward key deliverables on the 5-year project. In my role, I'm responsible for championing the role of young people in place making and place decision making. The Teenage Market

  I am the co-founder of The Teenage Market, an initiative which gives young people a free platform to showcase their creative talents. The Teenage Market is the perfect opportunity for markets to connect with their town’s large population of young people, by providing a free platform for them to be entrepreneurial, try out a new a business idea and sell creative products. The Teenage Market gives young people who are already trading online, a chance to trade at their local market and inspires those who haven't considered the idea of trading on a market, the chance to have a go. I co-founded the initiative with my younger brother Tom in our hometown of Stockport, in order to find a creative way to revitalise our town’s market area. The event proved incredibly popular and we have since been working on expanding The Teenage Market across the country. The Teenage Market was recently described by Mary Portas, retail guru and government adviser, as "innovative, inspiring and game-changing" and has the support of NABMA, ATCM, and DCLG. Show less

  Acting as the vice-chair for Stockport's Portas Pilot Group, I have allocated funding for projects which are delivered in Stockport Old Town. A large part of my role has been in establishing the new Stockport Old Town brand and website, to promote the independent traders and specialist events in the area.   In 2011, I founded Stockport's first ever film festival titled 'Screen Stockport Film Festival' and have acted as Festival Director for the past four years. My role includes overseeing submissions, planning the event, attracting judges, hosting the event, and charing Q&A sessions with guest speakers. Notable guest speakers have included Col Needham, Carol Morley, Phil Hawkins, Mark Herbert and Helen Bullough. My work has involved filming and editing content for many high profile clients including; Manchester United Soccer Schools, Channel 5, NHS, Legoland Discovery Centre, The Co-Operative Bank, Brazen PR, eXpansys, Yelp!, Chafes Solicitors and Whitehall Media. Since 2008, I have worked as an offline-editor and cameraman for Little Wonder Television.
