Project carried out at a cost saving of over £17,000 compared to an independent quote. • Redesign of TRV 4 Ring Nut to remove silicon spray from the production procedure. Creating an annual saving of over £3000 and an improved working environment. Design is now produced in annual quantities of over 500,000. • Part of a team undertaking the Laser Etch Project. This involved changing the artwork printing process to Laser Etching. The project predicted £60,000 annual savings in labour and materials. • These projects taught me key skills in how to deal with people and manage a project effectively, whilst keeping to a deadline and adhering to financial constraints. Working with engineers and workers from the factory floor helped me to understand, that within a company, the views of each person are all of equal importance. Before any changes to products or processes are made, everyone’s opinion should be obtained. Working as a team, informed decisions and solutions can be made that will address all sides of a problem.
